Description
Dictator 300-474 Antique Bronze (Light Bronze with Black Oxidation, Oil Rubbed Bronze) finish DICTATOR door check with standard spring power - approximate 4.5lbs force (at door check). The door check noiselessly controls the closing of doors. The door check will ensure, that the door will be held firmly closed and will not slam when shut. The DICTATOR type 1400 door check has been designed for those situations, where the placing of a hook on the door frame, is not acceptable. The door check type 1400 is mounted on the door, on the same side of the door as the door stop. If required, the door check type 1400 can be mounted horizontally as well as vertically.

Dictator 1400 Door Damper
I used this on an old (1912) swing door whose spring I could no longer adjust. Works great. The installation instructions were pretty much nil. Installing the hook no problem. The roller door check took awhile figure out where to drill the holes. A paper placement template would have been very helpful.
