  • Chrome plated DICTATOR door check with strong spring power - 50N Approximate 12lbs force (at door check).
  • The door check noiselessly controls the closing of doors.
  • The door check will ensure, that the door will be held firmly closed and will not slam when shut.
  • The DICTATOR type 1400 door check has been designed for those situations, where the placing of a hook on the door frame, is not acceptable.
  • The door check type 1400 is mounted on the door, on the same side of the door as the door stop.

    Solves the problem

    This was the first of three I've purchased at the time of writing this. This product solves the problem it claims to. Beware that the 50N closing force model was too hard for my elderly grandmother to open so I replaced it with the 20N model and that does the trick. If you have a hard stuck door with a tight jam consider this one but otherwise consider the 20N model.

    Well made, durable chrome finish. Works as described. Helps to prevent door slamming, but is also great at making sure the door closes all the way. And keeps the door snug to the weather strips on an exterior door. To open the door it does require a little more energy, but a great product. Appears well built.
