Replacement torsion spring
Bought this Emtek torsion spring to replace a broken one from a key-in-handle exterior lockset. Once the lockset was disassembled, I found that a portion of the lockset itself was broken which likely caused the original torsion spring to break. The spring provided by Mr Lock appeared to be identical to the original, but with the other breakage within the lockset, the spring was no longer needed & will be saved for another exterior lockset.

This spring did the job. It would be nice if there were springs for "right-hand" and "left-hand" levers. The spring works for me but it might be a matter of time and usage before the piece(brass colored) that engages the spring doesn't do the job. We
I put a few drops of oil on the spring coils to reduce friction since the spring is tightened when opening and relaxed when the handle comes back to the neutral position. It might help the spring last longer. Like someone suggested, I did buy a couple extra springs since we have Emtek hardware throughout the house.

Finally found the right spring!
This is a difficult spring to find... However, using a snap ring pliers, some grease, and a little finger pressing to get the spring to seat, two Emtek handles are now repaired and back to working like new!

EMTEK torsion spring for key in lever
This is a very difficult part to find for a high end key in door handle. Without it your door handle is useless. EMTEK doesn't carry it. It is a perfect part to repair your old broken spring. This spring causes your door handle to return to the center neutral position. If you need one buy some spares for good measure
